Artist's Comments

I figured I would put my entire digital drawing series into a single piece. It goes chronologically from the bottom to the top. The concluding piece (the topmost) is somewhat ambiguous in nature. I hope people interpret it in a way that means the most to them.
The series was inspired by a depression that I went through the semester previous to the class. The series was mostly a was for me to try and express some of the intense feeling I felt, something I do not usually try to do with my own work, as I usually am mostly concerned with aesthetics. In any case, I like the way it came out, and I hope that others will like it despite its more personal and narcissistic nature.

:omg: this is truely excellent.
The detail here is very impressive and must of taken some time to develope.
The dark atmosphere is very well represented by the tone work and the lighting.
Again this is a truely impressive piece, one which i will definatly favourite :D

"narcissistic nature" LOL-thats like all artwork, im pretty sure all us artists feel that way
Anyways you function more like a fictional character in this series so i woudlnt stress, it, but once again : Great Series! ^__^

Don't worry, keep at it. Digital Drawing is mostly a lot of practice. If you have any questions, just ask next semester since we'll be in the class together.

you have a nice sense of lighting and your light/dark contrasts really make these pieces pop. the profile on the bottom (first) drawing does look a little disproportional but it's not distracting in the least. good job, i look forward to see more in the future.

Thanks. I was definitely going for a sort of noir look to everything. I'll pay close attention to my head size in the future.
